Heat Sheet Tape for Tuning Downpipes

For winding a 4-2-1 (or 4-1) exhaust Downpipe of a VAZ 2101, Niva, 2108-099 you will need from 10 to 20 meters of thermal tape, depending on:
Pipe diameter – standard spiders have pipes Ø38–51 mm. The larger the diameter, the more tape is needed.
Tape width – with a width of 50 mm, less is needed than with 25 mm.
Overlapping degree – the recommended overlap is 30-50% of the tape length (the denser, the better the thermal insulation).
Approximate consumption:
For a standard downpipe 4-2-1 (pipes Ø42 mm) - 15 m (50 mm tape)
For a short downpipe 4-1 (pipes Ø38 mm) - 10-12 m
For a thick-walled collector or a full winding layer - up to 20 m
It is better to take with a reserve, so that it does not turn out that there is not enough tape for the last turns.
